The Consensus
The CRBN TruFoam Barrage is a high-performing power paddle with excellent spin generation and quick rebound, representing a clear upgrade over CRBN's previous models like the Genesis. However, at $280, most reviewers question its value proposition given the smaller sweet spot and strong alternatives available for significantly less money.
Everyone Agrees: Strengths
- +High spin generation capabilities with fast, reactive feel off the face
- +Good power and pop without requiring big swings
- +Significant improvement over previous CRBN models (Genesis, Waves)
- +Low swing weight provides excellent maneuverability and hand speed
Everyone Agrees: Weaknesses
- -High price point at $280 with better value alternatives available
- -Sweet spot is smaller/tighter than elite competitors in the category
- -Doesn't stand out significantly in the crowded premium paddle market

These are definitely power paddles, but more in that low to mid-range of high power category
The sweet spot isn't class leading and price is high with strong alternatives out there
For most players, the Coral and Shift will look like better value options

- +Excellent core durability with over 10,000 shots showing no performance drop
- +Good hand speed and maneuverability with low swing weights

- -High price at $280 with strong alternatives costing $100 less
